On the weekend of January 20, legendary New Orleans rockers The Radiators will host a truly one-of-a-kind music experience for their fans at the all-inclusive Breezes Grand Negril Hotel & Spa in Jamaica. Aside from offering Rads fans an extraordinarily unique concert-going experience, the event is also in celebration of The Radiators' two recently-released albums: Wild & Free and The Lost Southlake Sessions, which features tracks recorded in the mid-90s during the band's commercial peak.
The Radiators have been playing together for almost 32 years, starting in 1978 during a jam session at lead guitarist/vocalist Ed Volker's garage. The Southern rock superstars still perform with the same five original members: Dave Malone (guitar, vocals), Reggie Scanlan (bass), Camile Baudoin (guitar), Frank Bua, Jr. (drums), and Volker, who is also the band's chief songwriter.
Joining the band on their Caribbean excursion will be Jackie Greene, who released his first CD in 2002 and has performed with Phil Lesh and Friends and Gov't Mule, as well as with his own band. Greene will be performing both solo and with the Radiators as a special guest.
The three day trip will feature three full concerts on the beach, as well as many intimate band events. In addition to the music, the package includes hotel room accommodations, all meals & beverages, a choice of six restaurants, tennis, scuba diving, non-motorized water sports and much more.
