JOSH ROSEMAN’S EXTENDED CONSTELLATIONS AT BAMcafe Friday October 9th, 9pm.

Trombonist, composer, producer and band leader Josh Roseman is presenting his most ambitious project, his 12 piece ensemble Extended Constellations at BAMcafe. The group features live electronics, a trombone choir, two drummers and an array of innovative soloists including Shane Endsley, Andrew D'Angelo, and Barney McAll. Their program is a blend of electronic and acoustic timbres, creative song structures and adventurous improvisation, with new long-form compositions commissioned by SF JAZZ, Switzerland's Downtown Geneva Orchestra, the Jazz Gallery NYC and La Scala Milan.

Josh has received accolades for his three solo records, multiple touring ensembles and his sideman work with Dave Holland, Steve Coleman, Don Byron, John Zorn, Charlie Hunter, The Roots, Medeski Martin and Wood, and Me’Shell NdegeOcello. He is the winner of the 2009 Talent Deserving Wider Recognition award in the DownBeat Critics’ Poll.
