Bull's Eye! - the newest release from guitarist, Sheryl Bailey. The much-anticipated follow up to her trio's smash debut, The Power of 3!.

Nine new compositions that allow the band to create their unique sound, and develop their special rapport and interaction. This is not your typical groove-based guitar/organ trio; this is a modern jazz power trio dedicated to expanding the post-bop language, from the lineage of the Grant Green/Larry Young/Elvin Jones sound.

Here she opens up with, “Old and Young Blues", which will be featured as a part of Mel Bay's “Jazz Masters Anthology, vol. IV." “Elvin People" is a post-bop anthem and tribute to the late Elvin Jones. “Sue's Samba" adds a melodic samba to the mix, followed by “Swamp Thang," a New Orleans flavor, ala Scofield. “Bull's Eye," the title track, is a straight-ahead burner!

Ms. Bailey is known for her guitar work with bassist, Richard Bona (Munia- Universal/Japan), David Krakauer (Krakauer Live in Krakow - Label Bleu/France), Gary Thomas, George Garzone, and as an Assistant Professor of Guitar at Berklee College of Music.
