Edel entertainment's recently launched international rock music label earMUSIC is pleased to announce the June 15th UK release of Johnny Cash Remixed, the must have album featuring remix interpretations of Johnny Cash classics from the crme de la crme of re-mixers - Alabama 3, The Heavy, Buck 65 and many more.

Executive produced by Snoop Dogg, Cash's son John Carter Cash, and Mathew Knowles, the album carries the blessing of the custodians of Johnny Cash's incredible legacy. The original recordings came licensed from the legendary Sun Records; the same label that gave us such luminaries as Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis and Roy Orbison. The songs were recorded between 1956-1959 with Cash's first band the Tennessee Two, featuring guitar, light percussion and Cash's unmistakable vocals.

“My father made his stead defying the expected and accepted way of things," says John Carter Cash, son of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash, executive producer of the Academy Award winning film Walk The Line. “He set the standard at the same time. He would have loved this remix record. While it stays true to the original recordings, the CD touches on undiscovered ground. My father was about staying true to tradition while creating groundbreaking music."

Johnny Cash Remixed is also available as a limited edition CD/DVD package, including a documentary DVD about the making of the album. This footage features interviews with the re-mixers, filmed direct from their home studios, and sees Snoop Dogg recording vocals at the Cash Recording Cabin in Hendersonville, Tennessee.
