Tateng Katindig Trio Live One Night Only April 2, 2009 Upstairs at Vitello's New Jazz Room

Pianist Eduardo Katindig Jr. known to his family, friends and the music circle as “Tateng" is making a rare appearance April 2nd 2009 with his Trio ,vocals April Williams, in “The Hippest new Jazz Room in Studio City" and making waves as a Jazz pianist in the Los Angeles area.

He was born in the Philippines and did his schooling at the University of the Philippines majoring in composition and keyboard concentration. Music is the core foundation of this family. Tateng is the son of Eddie K who is one of the Philippines record holder in the instrumental category (saxophone). In short music runs in his blood.

He started piano lessons at an early age of 7 under Professor Fred Robles and Professor Mendoza. His passion grew when he was in school thus focusing his love for music towards jazz. He had stints in Asia like Singapore with the Luis Tan trio. He toured with Kevyn Lettau in the Philippines and did a show with Eric Marienthal.

Jazz brought him to the United States in the year 2000. He currently plays regularly at Charlie O's, Spazio's, Vibrato Grill and Jazz, Zentro Bistro, Catalina Bar and Grill, and Jazz Bakery.

Tateng does not limit himself to Jazz. He gets the opportunity of working as a musical director for big concert events playing R&B, pop, standards, etc. Some of his project to include the Jasmin Trias/JR show done in Los Angeles and San Francisco, the Vernie Varga/David Pomeranz show here in Los Angeles and Las Vegas and Jeff Timmons of 98 degrees CD launching at the Hard Rock Cafe Universal Studios.
