New York, NY - March 21, 2009 - Rising star vocalist Ken Ard brings his sultry baritone back home from his European tour with the American songbook: Jazz 101, featuring Mark Berman, playing what Variety raves is “dazzling piano." Daily Variety adds “Ken Ard was born to be an entertainer, he radiates and mesmerizes." In a collaboration for the ages, Berman and Ard perform at:

Monday, March 23, 2009 at 9:30 pm
Reservations essential: 212 206 0440 or online at: The Metropolitan Room

Flush with critical accolades as a composer/arranger, Mark Berman (he of “Sex and the City") returns to his jazz piano roots with his trio, drummer Ray Marchica and bassist Bryan Copland, who stretch out on soulful and burning arrangements, backing internationally acclaimed jazz vocalist Ken Ard. The evening is sure to showcase Berman's range as a pianist, and Ard could be in line to inherit the mantle of the great Johnny Hartman.
