January and February of 2004 will find Dee Daniels gracing the stage with five different Symphony Orchestras, for a total of 12 concerts. Response last year to her Symphonic Pops program, “Great Ladies of Swing", was tremendous. With the addition of eight new arrangements to the show, it promises to be a very special evening of song.

“Great Ladies of Swing" is a collection of songs made famous by four Vocal Jazz Legends: Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, Billy Holiday and Peggy Lee. Original arrangements written especially for Dee showcase her rich and exciting four-ocatave range, wrapped around her warm and personable stage presence.

“There are many great Pops performers with symphony orchestras but it would be difficult to find a better jazz vocalist than Dee Daniels. In a performance this weekend Dee literally brought the house down! Her singing has style AND substance, subtlety and charm. She has technique, range and lots of power and emotion..."

Nicholas Palmer, Music Director Altoona Symphony
