During Cosby's reign on the CBS Television Network, Brooks served as the drummer in the successful sitcom's show band. The official grand opening celebration week titled Cecil's Celebrates Jazz 2003" will feature a host of special guest artists. Brooks quietly opened Cecil's jazz club in late June and a loyal following of fans and jazz enthusiasts are helping to quickly establish the venue as one of the most prestigious addresses in northern New Jersey featuring internationally acclaimed jazz artists seven-nights-a-week. Ticket price is $100 including dinner.
