Mike Lorenz Quartet
Mike Lorenz is a young guitarist established in Lehigh Valley, PA leading a quartet of up- and-coming musicians performing his original jazz compositions. The group’s influences come from the avant-garde to the tradition of jazz combining the entire history of the music. Free improvisation and “outside” ideas weave themselves freely throughout melodic, modern compositions.
Highbrid
Tonight’s special: Miles Davis and Phish stew, with a dash of Zappa. This NuJazz-Fusion octet is serving modern jazz with a jam band twist. Jazzheads and Deadheads can lay down their arms and enjoy soulful, intriguing music arm-in-arm.
