This is a production where the six string instrument becomes orchestra, and this whole of instruments, guitar. Each composition has a life and personality of its own, reflecting the influences on the artist, Caribbean folklore, as well as classical music and jazz. It is an album where –in essence- all of the important elements of the guitar converge and where composition meets improvisation. As stated by Ocaña, “it is a homage to the instrument of greatest weight in my work.”
Ocaña does not forget to reserve a space to honor those artists who have impacted his creativity: from Lennon-McCartney, “Yesterday” and “Blackbird”, and dedicated to Anouar Brahem is “Improviso 2”.
“Solo” may be acquired at ITUNES and CDBABY, among others.
