New Orleans all-star guitar asylum Twangorama makes their Debut at the beautiful Artmosphere in Lafayette, Louisiana on Friday, October 24th.
The guitar collective features veteran New Orleans guitarists Phil deGruy, Jimmy Robinson and Cranston Clements. The band's debut recording has received critical praise, and spans rock, jazz, roots, celtic, classical and New Orleans rhythm and blues influences. Phil Degruy has been featured in Guitar Player magazine, and has earned kudos from Steve Vai, Larry Coryell, Danny Gatton, and others.
Jimmy Robinson is a founding member of seminal New Orleans fusion group Woodenhead, and has appeared in concert with John Maclaughlin, Allen Holdsworth, Steve Morse, Adrian Belew, Bela Fleck, Chick Corea, Billy Cobham, etc.
Cranston Clements has played with Boz Scaggs, The Neville Brothers, Dr. John, Maria Muldaur, etc.
The group has performed at The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage festival, INGUITAR Fest in Switzerland, Festival International in Lafayette, La., The Can Cun Jazz Fest, and the Pan Am Festival in Guatemala City.
