Jeff Shurdut is an Abstract Artist who says he's a realist because, “Nothing's more abstract than reality."
Shurdut's work has been documented by The New York Times, featured on NBCTV's “Live At Five," WLIW's “Metro Arts" programs, and written about in several publications abroad, including one with Marion Brown (France, 2001).
Jeff Shurdut received The Art Instillation Grant Award presented by Colombia University's Graduate School of Arts & Sciences (1993).
Exhibited in Chelsea, Greenwich Village, The Upper East and West Side of Manhattan, New York City, Sweden, Norway, and Reykjavik, Iceland.
Artist in Residence in Sweden and Norway (1999).
Collaborated with Erland Cullberg (1999), Billy Bang (2001), and will join Daniel Carter in an upcoming show December 6, 2002 / 7.30pm / 16 West 32nd Street / Suite 10A / New York City, N.Y. for Lenore Von Stein's “There Is No Such Thing As Race."
