Renato Rosaldo writes in English and Spanish. His first book of poetry, Prayer to Spider Woman," published by Icocult in 2003, won an American Book Award. Individual poems have won the El Andar poetry contest (2000) and the Many Mountains Moving poetry contest (2005). His poetry has also appeared in such magazines as Prairie Schooner, Puerto Del Sol, and The Texas Observer. As a cultural anthropologist he is the author of Culture and Truth."
