Fans anxious to see eight-time Grammy Award winner, Anita Baker; two-time Grammy winner Jill Scott; legendary singer, Diana Ross; revered 'Caribbean Queen' singer, Billy Ocean in one destination will be able to get tickets for the first time on the Internet.

History will be made on Monday, Dec. 10 when for the very first time in the 11 years of the Air Jamaica Jazz & Blues Festival, tickets will be sold on the Internet at the event's home page.

Walter Elmore of Turn Key Productions, executive producer of the Caribbean's hottest festival, says the decision was taken given the overwhelming request by overseas fans for tickets to the festival. In recent days fans have emailed and called increasingly on tickets after obtaining festival information surfing online.

But the executive producer is reminding fans that tickets will only be sold for a limited time to the January 24-26, 2008 event and is urging all to ensure they snap up tickets early.

Only a restricted number of tickets will be sold for the venue at the Aqueduct in Montego Bay this year, added Elmore, while insisting he is more concerned about the comfort level of jazz fest patrons than simply selling tickets.

The line-up this year is already sending music fans globally giddy with excitement and Elmore revealed that several more artists will be added in the coming weeks.

For now, Ross, Baker, Ocean and Scott are creating a jazz fervor all of their own.

Other artists slated to perform are Ryan Shaw, an exciting new artiste whose music is described as “new school meets old school," Jessica Yap; Yerba Buena, Taj Mahall, pianist Marjorie Whylie and 13-year-old songstress Nikki.
