Brooklyn, NY -- The New York Aquarium is the place to be every Friday night in July as the Aquarium introduces its first evening music series, AquaJazz, with presenting sponsor Coors Light and co-sponsor Denos Wonder Wheel Park. This Friday, concert-goers can relax in the Aquariums plaza area and enjoy the hard bop trumpeting of Cecil Bridgewater, stroll through the Aquariums grounds and take in views of sharks, beluga whales, walruses and more, and end the evening with a fantastic view of the Coney Island fireworks display.

Tickets are $20 ($18 for members of Wildlife Conservation Society), and can be purchased at the door on the night of the concert or in advance with a credit card (VC, MC, AX and DC) by calling 718-265-3454 between 9am and 4pm. Credit card orders can be picked up at the will-call booth on the night of the event. WCS members must have their membership numbers for advance ticket orders. The concerts will take place rain or shine with the Aquariums Seaside Pavilion to house the series in case of rain. Concert-goers must be 18-years or older, and tickets are non-refundable and for general admission (limited seating and standing room). Parking is not included.

The Aquarium closes at 6:00pm on Friday nights, and will reopen for the music series at 7:00pm, with the music to start at 7:45pm. Beer and food will be available for purchase from the Aquariums Snack Bar. As an added bonus, guests will have a front seat viewing from inside the Aquarium of the Coney Island Fireworks slated to blast off from 9:45 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The evening ends at 10:30pm.
