“The most innovative and exciting fingerstyle guitarist to emerge in years...the most textural player of the instrument since Michael Hedges." . Don Ross, legendary fingerstyle guitarist

CHICAGO (November 2007) - Andy McKee is music's newest international phenomenon. This self-described “guy from Topeka, Kansas" has literally won the world over with his YouTube.com videos and his growing fanbase can.t seem to get enough.

A self-trained fingerstyle guitarist and composer, McKee posted videos of his tunes on YouTube.com last year, a move that has launched a staggeringly successful career. Since then, he has had over 20 million hits on YouTube.com, he has made over 29,000 friends on MySpace.com, and he has a packed touring schedule that takes him around the world. Knocking the late, great Johnny Cash out of the top spot with the highest-rated music video on YouTube.com, McKee has appeared by invitation on “Last Call with Carson Daly," is in the Top 10 on the iTunes Folk page, and is currently featured on Josh Groban.s new album, Noel, on the track “Little Drummer Boy."

McKee began playing guitar at 13 and has since released four albums. Due to the support of his legions of fans, McKee is now poised to join the elite world of influential fingerstyle guitarists occupied by legends Don Ross and the late Michael Hedges.
