Wednsday, August 29, 7 pm, at the Srlandet Art Museum in Kristiansand, Norway

Punkt Kunst is an art exhibition with links between visual art and music. The visual art comprises a selection of 13 of the works from the Srlandet Art Museum's collection. Each of the works is connected to individual musical interpretations that are created by musicians participating at the Punkt Festival.

The art presented will range from old romantic paintings to contemporary non-figurative works, and the selection of performers promises a wide range of musical language. As an indication the following 3 are among the 13 links/combinations/dialogues:

  • Mette Tronvoll Isortoq Unartoq nr. 3, 4 and 5 : Jon Hassell & Jan Bang

  • J. C. Dahl Landskap Med Fossestryg : Svalastog

  • Tarjei Bodin Larsen Untitled : J. Peter Schwalm

“The dialogue between the artworks, the musicians and the visitor offers a unique opportunity to look at and think about art and music, and to experience interactions between the two art forms" says Jan Bang, Artistic Director.

After the opening Jon Hassell will perform the sound sculpture “Solid State", assisted by Jan Bang.

Punkt Kunst 07 is supported by Bang & Olufsen.
