The Talons Beat the Drums in Vallejo on Saturday Night

SOURCE: Published: 2007-04-11

What is self evident is that The Talons play together for the love of music, the love of the drum beat, and just for love too. Originally from a garage in East Palo Alto, The Talons have solidified into a band that keeps the heartbeat of a night meant for fun and exultation alive. Usually they come with a few surprise guests and often with master trumpeter Mark Wright.

This Saturday April 14, promises to provide more of the same, at Listen & Be Heard Poetry Cafe. Some of that woodshedding that has brought them to this point has taken place over the past year at the cafe. Tony and I have had the pleasure of listening, greeting their friends and sharing poetry in the intermission, and often with the band at the end of the night when a good time has always been had by all.
