Kenny Carr
Appearing At: Twins Jazz

Guitarist/composer Kenny Carr, a New York and Washington DC artist, commutes back and forth between his two homes creating music along the way. With over 10 years as an official member of the Ray Charles group, Carr is a first-call guitarist among his peers. His sophomore release Turn the Page, featured on TAS LLC and distributed by City Hall Records features Carr (g), Tom Baldwin (b), Frank Russo (d), Grammy Nominated, Donny McCaslin (sax) and John Dryden (organ).

Carr's diversity as a guitarist is exemplified in each track as he creates alluring textures and colors within the harmonic structure of each composition. Turn the Page has been garnering praise from critics across the U.S. and internationally.

Join Carr and Friends for two nights as they present tunes from Turn the Page and Carr's freshman release Friday at Five at Twins Jazz in Washington, D.C., a perfect listening spot with a hip vibe.
