The James Silberstein Quartet has performed in the New York area for several years. The Quartet performs an array of alluring originals as well as classic and Latin-jazz standards. With its vast and diverse range of collective musical experiences, the Quartet has developed an original, distinct and swinging sound.
Guitarist James Silberstein has been on the New York jazz scene for the past 25 years. James has worked with a diverse list of artists, including among many others, Zoot Sims, Norah Jones, The Drifters, Dave Schnitter, Carter Jefferson, Jack Wilkins, Peter Leitch, Attilla Zoller, Larry Elgart's Big Band, and comedian Bob Hope. James' critically acclaimed debut CD, entitled Song for Micaela, featuring Randy Brecker, Eric Alexander, Bruce Barth, Carla Cook, Harvie S, Tony Cimorosi and Vince Cherico, was released in July, 2004 and received extensive radio airplay throughout the US and reached #28 on the Jazz Week National charts.
