(Wolfgang Schalk, guitar, composition;Helen Sung, piano;Andy McKee, bass;Ian Froman, drums) Wolfgang Schalk has garnered international acclaim as a gifted guitarist and composer. Schalk has recorded four CDs with all original music released under his name including “The Second Third Man" featuring 11-time Grammy award-winning Michael Brecker.

His new album “Space Messengers" (Universal Music) showcases intricate-yet-accessible performances of a colorful spectrum of Wolfgang Schalk's new compositions. The new CD features an impressive line-up of notable musicians, including Dave Kikoski on piano, Andy McKee on bass and Ian Froman on drums -- Schalk's working band since 2002. “Space Messengers" received enthusiastic praise from journalists, musical peers and fans alike.
