NYC-based singer/songwriter/pianist Jon Regen has been nominated for a 2006 Just Plain Folks Best Song Award for “Hold-Out Your Heart."

The Just Plain Folks Music Organization has officially announced the nominees for its 2006
Just Plain Folks Music Awards.

http://www.JPFolks.com.

The winners will be announced at the Just Plain Folks Music Awards Show on November 4th, 2006 in Santa Ana, CA at the Galaxy Theater.

“Hold-Out Your Heart" appears on Regen's critically-acclaimed CD Almost Home. ALL
MUSIC GUIDE awarded it Four Stars ****, and VARIETY proclaimed “Regen takes cues from
forebears like Randy Newman...both in the sardonic bent of songs like the wry
“Only My Credit Card Remembers Where I've Been" and the laconically elegant tenor of “Hold Out Your Heart."

Jon Regen will record the follow-up to 'Almost Home' in Fall 2006.
A world tour will begin in January 2007.
