Chris Burnett at The Drum Room in Kansas City
Chris Burnett Quintet will next be performing at The Drum Room on Friday, August 25, 2006. The music starts at 7:00 pm. CbQ will be performing their interesting book of creative instrumental jazz music, featuring: Will Matthews, guitar; Christopher Clarke, piano; James Ward, dbl bass; Arny Young, drums; and Chris Burnett, alto saxophone. Burnett has also been scheduled for two Saturday evening performances in September as well on the 16th and 30th respectively.
Venue History: The Hilton President was a swinging place when it opened in 1926. Its lively Drum Room attracted top musicians and internationally renowned entertainers from across the country, including Frank Sinatra, Benny Goodman and Marilyn Maye.
