Spare Parts
After taking the Chicago Jazz Scene by storm, Spare Parts has partnered with Ropeadope to spread their unique brand of Jazz Funk to the masses.

Taking the energy of a live performance and translating that to a studio recording is no easy feat, but Spare Parts has accomplished that with their upcoming Self-Titled album which is set to be released on January 14th.

The Western Herald in Kalamazoo, Michigan summed up what makes Spare Parts so interesting:

“One of the things that keep Spare Parts' music fresh is their constant evolution. They never rest on their laurels, content with where they are at. Rather, they push their own boundaries, along with those of the audience. This especially comes out in their live performances where the band manages to take what might otherwise be seen as a convoluted mess of genres and transform that into something that is not only coherent, but quite enjoyable. Spare Parts is entirely original and refreshing.”

The Trio has put in their time working the Chicago live scene since 2000. They have managed to build an incredibly engaged following and are now combining efforts with Ropeadope Records to reach a larger audience.
