It's About Time may be the Verve Jazz Ensemble's debut album, but the reception that these five players have received since its March release is as impressive as that awarded to the most seasoned jazz groups.

Within weeks of being released on radio, It’s About Time soared to the #5 position on the national JazzWeek chart, where it has held strong on the charts for two solid months, four weeks of which have been spent ensconced solidly in the Top 20.

Recently, to reach out to its increasing international fan base, the Verve Jazz Ensemble launched a Japanese version of its website. The site provides information about the band and its first album, as well as featured blog posts that provide insight into the making of the band's music, their musical vision, and insight into these wonderful and critically acclaimed jazz players.

“The Japanese culture truly respects and appreciates the American jazz musician, perhaps more than any other culture in the world," says VJE drummer and leader Josh Feldstein. “The Verve Jazz Ensemble is extremely excited about making our music, sharing our ideas, and making our creativity more accessible to our friends and fans who love jazz in Japan. Jazz is such an international language today. Having our website now available in Japanese is our way of saying ‘thank you,’ and to advancing cultural exchange in some small way between the US and Japan when it comes to jazz."

The band will launch a German language version of the site soon as well.

While the Verve Jazz Ensemble has been together since only 2006 as a group, its members are veterans on both the jazz and pop music scene. The band's Jon Blanck (tenor sax), Tatum Greenblatt (trumpet), Matt Oestreicher (piano), and Chris DeAngelis (bass) have made musical contributions to an incredible variety of well known artists, including Alicia Keyes, Jon Bon Jovi, India Arie, Joan Jett, Joe Perry, Stevie Wonder, Cee-lo Green, Funkeeboy, Clark Terry, Joe Lovano, and Wynton Marsalis.
