RUBY FLOWER RECORDS

During the summer of 2005, trumpeter Clarence “Herb" Robertson found a way to control his artistic creations through his own releases with the music he loves to play and to perform. Similarly, scientist Ana Isabel Ordonez wanted to turn her passion for art and jazz founding a recording label in which the avant-garde music would be the priority.

Both Herb Robertson and Ana Isabel Ordonez became business partners and opened their own record company, Ruby Flower Records.

Although their paths were never dedicated towards business, the passion to create, produce and distribute great original music brought them together. They have a strong wish to innovate in many different ways and to capture music and art in general.

Ruby Flower Records has the desire to please connoisseurs and purist audiophiles by signing some great musicians from all over the world.

Ruby Flower Records has already two artists and aims to have a catalogue of releases ranging from jazz, blues and world musics to singer/songwriters.

The jazz artists represented on Ruby Flower Records are at present the legendary trumpet player Herb Robertson as well as emerging new talent, drummer Pancho Braas. These Ruby Flower Record titles have been produced by Herb Robertson & Ana Isabel Ordonez.

“Creatively speaking ... Where the talents blossom:" a simple slogan, a label which will try to create and achieve innovative music while searching for a technical excellence on the releases. Ruby Flower Records is aware that the work of a label is not a success that is reached overnight. The founders of this label are used to working hard and are bonded with a deep passion and love for music. We feel that this magical combination will carry Ruby Flower Records well into the future.
