LazJaz Trio Features French Jazz Composers on Nov. 11 Recital at Acoustix Jazz Lounge
LazJaz Trio, featuring Charles Laz, piano instructor at the Nice Conservatory, will give a jazz recital in Atlanta featuring the works of French composers on Nov. 11 at Acoustix Jazz Lounge & Restaurant, 840 Marietta St. (corner of Northside Drive, 404-879-0111) near GA Tech Campus, from 7:30 to 11:30 pm.
The recital will feature the jazz compositions of Michel LeGrand, Charles Aznavour, Michel Petrucciani, Stephane Grappelli, Martial Solal and Claude Bolling, in addition to Brazilian works by Antonio Carlos Jobim and others. Admission is $12—Reservations are suggested as the performance is expected to sell out.
Dinner and refreshments are available and will be served throughout the evening. Mr. Laz performs in Atlanta twice per year; this 1-night engagement will be his only performance for the Fall of 2012.
Performing together since 2007, LazJaz trio also features Ray McMurtry on bass and Henry Brent on drums; both musicians reside in Atlanta. See you there—tell all your friends!
