Renowned jazz pianist/Steinway Artist Lenore Raphael is heading up a new jazz series on Manhattan's West Side.

Having had a full house at a concert in May, a series was the best way to constantly feature great jazz by world-class artists at affordable prices.

Co-produced by “West 64th Street Jazz" and The New York Society for Ethical Culture, the first of the series on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 28th, will feature Ms. Raphael on piano with the wonderful guitarist Howard Alden to celebrate the release of their new CD Loverly. Joining them will be the swinging bassist Kelly Friesen, known for being one of the great slap- bassists, and Jerry Mandel as special guest on tenor saxophone.

The second concert on FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 16th the great tenor saxman Harry Allen joins Lenore with super bassist Phil Bowler and then on FRIDAY APRIL 12th in honor of jazz appreciation month, the great guitarist Jack Wilkins joins Lenore.

The New York Society for Ethical Culture is located at 2 West 64th Street (just west of Central Park)
