Get on Your Boots" is driven by a garage-y guitar and bass riff that immediately blasts from the speakers. The guitar drops out for the first part of the verse, as Bono sings about submarines, gasoline" and not wanting to talk about wars between nations." The song then shifts into a vocal harmony-laden refrain of You don't know how beautiful you are."
Later, Bono sings Let me in the sound" as the rhythm section gives the riff a workout. The sound and feel of the track may remind fans of Achtung Baby"-era U2, particularly rockers like The Fly."
As previously reported, No Line on the Horizon" is available in five different iterations. U2 will perform Get on Your Boots" for the first time Feb. 18 at the BRIT Awards ceremony in London.
The band was in Washington, D.C., yesterday to perform at the Barack Obama inauguration concert at the Lincoln Memorial. Today, Bono, will.i.am, Faith Hill and Mary J. Blige will perform the song American Dream" on The Oprah Winfrey Show."
