The Hollywood Music in Media Award and Billboard World Song Contest winner Catya Maré´s new flirtingly humorous, sexy & slightly nutty album, titled “Tell Me Why..." is in stores worldwide today, September 8th, 2010.

Coming from a classical crossover / new age background, songwriter and violinist Catya Maré recently started to include her own vocals into her music productions, what resulted in a new, sexy, humorous and slightly wacky music style: electronica / pop / world.

“I was pretty surprised when discovering my own, quite sensuous, voice while doing a funny video clip a few months ago," she says, “and the next step was obvious: recording songs, which included that new discovery!" The result is titled “Tell Me Why..." and in stores worldwide by September 8th, 2010. Available both digitally from iTunes, Amazon and all other major digital music outlets, and as a physical CD from e.g. CD Baby, CD Connection and CD Universe.

Catya Maré is a popular, multiple award winning songwriter, violinist and music producer (world / classical crossover / Celtic new age / electronica / pop) from Denmark who is now living in Los Angeles, California.

She has performed as a classical violinist since her early childhood (first concert as a soloist with a large symphony orchestra at age 10), held the position of an alternating concertmaster with one of Europe's finest symphony orchestras, Aarhus Symfoni Orkester (DK) and has done numerous performances at international concert halls and major museums of art, such as National Galerie Berlin (Germany) and Kunsthaus Zürich (Switzerland).

Catya Maré started composing / producing her own music in 2005. She was nominated for the Hollywood Music Award in November 2008 and won the Billboard World Songwriting Contest in February 2009. In November 2009 Catya Maré won the prestigious Hollywood Music in Media Award.

In February 2010 she was rewarded 8 Editor´s Choice Awards on one of the leading music licensing sites today, Revostock.

Catya Maré´s music is included in Hollywood movies, such as “Butterflies in the wind" and “Homecoming," TV shows (e.g. “Cruisin´with E-Rider") and receives worldwide air play. Her popular and critically acclaimed albums “LIGHT LONGING," “Remembering The Day" and “Destination Love" are for sale from all major digital music outlets, such as iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby etc.
