t may have been buried in the deluge of iPhone and Macbook announcements during the Apple WWDC keynote earlier this week, but when Apple talked Safari 4, people listened. The company is reporting today that the browser has been downloaded more than 11 million times in the three days since launch. Perhaps most interesting is the fact that more than half of those downloads (six million) have been from Windows users.
Apple's senior VP, Philip Schiller is apparently a fan, stating:
Safari 4 is an incredible success on Mac and Windows with more than 11 million downloads in the first three days. Safari users love the incredible speed and innovative features like Top Sites, Full History Search and Cover Flow.
