About the Artists:
Nate Harasim: Even as a young child, Nate Harasim had dreams of playing in front of the masses. With that dream in mind, he transferred to the Flint Institute of Music in Flint, Michigan. After receiving several scholarships and awards, Harasim joined the jazz band and by the age of sixteen, Harasim formed the group “MoJazz". These young lions of straight ahead jazz went on to open and play with Norman Brown, Pamela Williams, Roy Ayers, Tom Braxton and many others.

After high school, Nate decided to join the Navy. Initially, he jumped out of helicopters as a Navy rescue swimmer but still had a huge drive to succeed in the music industry. While enlisted, he auditioned for the Naval School of Music and was accepted. Later, he would land an endorsement deal with Yamaha, which enabled him the freedom to produce his own music and within 16 months released his first CD, Next in Line, which he arranged, written, produced and engineered.

Soon after the birth of this first release, Nate garnered the attention of the hit-making music executive David Chackler, who quickly offered Nate his first record deal with nuGroove Records. In mid-2007, Harasim began work on his sophomore release, Love's Taken Over, which he finished in a little over 90 days. Love's Taken Over features the talents of Darren Rahn, Jay Soto, Mel Brown, Frank Selman, and De'Nate' vocalist Deborah Connors.

The chemistry of Harasim with Deborah Connors would prove to be magical. The two would team up in 2008 to form De'Nate' and released Reminisce in August of 2008. Saxophonist Darren Rahn, who had also worked with this team on the Reminisce, would formally join the group just weeks after the release.

Currently, Harasim is in the studio producing a number of tracks and full records for several artists. He is quickly making a name for himself as a young producer churning out funky infused music with an edge.

Darren Rahn: A master's level jazz graduate from the University of Northern Colorado, Canadian born saxophonist Darren Rahn at the age of 36 has already achieved more than most musicians dream possible. As a producer, the list of Billboard credits to his name are many and include the likes of Wayman Tisdale, Eric Darius, Tim Bowman and Dave Koz's recent #1 smash hit “Life in the Fast Lane."

Rahn began working behind the scenes in the mid-90s producing and programming tracks for other artists. It was his work with Wayman Tisdale in 2004 on the #1 single, “Ain't No Stopping Us Now," that would bring Rahn to the forefront of the music industry. However, it was his early work as an artist on his debut CD, Once in a Lifetime, that caught the attention of Wayman Tisdale in 2004. Later, Eric Darius would take note of this solo work from the CD and hire Rahn as producer as well.

Currently, Rahn has had three consecutive number one hits on the monitored R&R Smooth Jazz Chart as a producer. Additionally, he will be releasing his new CD, Talk of the Town, in early spring of 2009. This CD will feature a stellar list of guest appears. Stay tuned for more information.
