New York, NY: Multi-national experimentalists MuthaWit celebrate the September 25th launch of URB ALT Festival 2011 with the immediate release of their maniacally paced video “Wasted (Fill My House With Salt)." Nodding towards the legendary Stanley Kubrick, video directors Bighead Scientists showcase live band footage mixed with the studio based antics of MuthaWit singer/songwriter/producer Boston Fielder. “Wasted" projects the sheer exuberance of MuthaWit's 3-24 piece live show from frame to frame. It is the second single off of MuthaWit's current album, “men & women (la Revenge de Uncle Baldy)" which has been praised by Spin.com for its “aggressively elegant arrangements, earnest topicality and soulful delivery." Boston Fielder says “Our supporters insisted with the URB ALT Fest turning 6 years old that we needed to finally put out a proper MuthaWit video to show how energetic the shows are. Ironically the Bighead Scientists guys thought it would be fun for me to do most of my performance sitting in a chair."

URB ALT Festival 2011 happens in Brooklyn on September 25 (W Hotel ALofts) and Manhattan on September 30 (Rebel NYC). The 25th show will feature an URB ALT artists bazaar(merchandise and music sales), a DJ and screenings of “Wasted" with other videos featuring creators from the URB ALT community. The 30th show will feature MuthaWit performing with a special appearance by avant-garde hip hop maestro Jneiro Jarel. Their work together promises to be a multi-disciplinary experience. “Wasted (Fill My House With Salt)" is the perfect song and video to demonstrate to the world the subversive eclecticism of MuthaWit's collaborative interests.
