Every Friday beginning at 7 AM until midnight Eastern time we'll begin each hour with a classic piece of Jazz Fusion history with our special feature we call IF IT'S FRIDAY, THIS MUST BE FUSION. This Friday, May 28th, we'll continue our week-long celebration of the birthday of the man who is probably the most famous jazz man of all time with a special feature we call “MILES DAVIS'S GREATEST FUSION HITS!" Many point to “Bitches Brew" as the album that caused the fusion revolution to explode, but three years before that Miles had begun to explore new musical territory by changing from swing rhythms and electrifying his sound on albums like 1967's “Water Babies" (which wasn't released until 1977), 1968's “Filles De Kilimanjaro," and 1969's “In A Silent Way," before the true explosion occurred in 1970 with McLaughlin's electric guitar on “A Tribute To Jack Johnson," and electricity and groove unlike anyone had ever heard before on “Bitches Brew." After that all bets were off and Miles, as well as the jazz world in general, never truly looked back! You'll hear it all if you join us for this week's edition of IF IT'S FRIDAY, THIS MUST BE FUSION. It's “MILES DAVIS'S GREATEST FUSION HITS!"

We're celebrating the 84th birthday of Miles Davis and his place in MOJA all this week so this Saturday, May 29th, we'll celebrate Miles and prove the old adage that you're known by the company you keep as we present our weekly feature WORDS & MUSIC on MOJA Radio this one titled “TELL ME YOUR 'MILES' STORY!" Anyone who ever came in contact with Miles has some kind of story to tell and on Saturday we'll get those stories from some of the artists who worked with him. Chick Corea has a Miles story, so does Bill Evans, Dave Holland, Herbie Hancock, Joe Zawinul, John McLaughlin, John Scofield, Kenny Garrett, Lenny White, Marcus Miller, Mike Stern & Wayne Shorter. Interview segments followed by music will begin each hour from Noon through Midnight Eastern time (9 AM-9 PM Pacific). Join us for “TELL ME YOUR 'MILES' STORY," during MILES DAVIS WEEK on this week's WORDS & MUSIC.

Twice every Sunday listen for three of our most popular special features on what we call THE SUNDAY SPECIALS here on MOJA Radio. At 9 AM & 9 PM Eastern time you'll hear an hour of fun and funky stuff on JAMMIN' JAZZ...JAZZ FOR THE NEW GENERATION WITH MICHELLE SAMMARTINO followed at 10 AM and 10 PM Eastern time by our weekly look at the hottest new MOJA coming out on THE ALL NEW MUSIC REVUE. Then we'll wrap it all up at 11 AM and 11 PM Eastern time with an hour inside the world's only imaginary jazz club for rare, live performances on LIVE @ MOJALAND.
