Matt Savage Trio: Young Jazz Phenom Sept. 30 in Rochester, New Hampshire Benefit Concert

The Monarch School of New England is proud to present The Matt Savage Trio in concert at the Rochester Opera House in Rochester NH on September 30 at 7:30. Tickets are $22 (seniors of 60 and children under 12 are $12). All proceeds support the Monarch School.

The Matt Savage Trio has a new release due on September 19. Quantum Leap is the Trio's first album through a world-wide distribution deal with Palmetto Records.

The Matt Savage Trio features Matt Savage, a 14-year old jazz piano prodigy. Matt taught himself to play the piano at the age of six and by the age of nine had recorded his first CD with his instructor at the New England Conservatory of Music.

Matt has performed throughout the country with his two sidemen, adult musicians John Funkhouser and John Silverstein and played with jazz legends like Chaka Kahn, Kenny G, Dave Brubeck, Chick Corea and Shawn Colvin. He's played at Birdland, the Blue Note and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

He has been on a variety of radio and TV programs including MONTEL, TODAY SHOW, All Things Considered.

Matt is the ASCAP Young Jazz Composer Award winner for 2005 and 2006.

Matt was diagnosed with autism at the age of three and in 2005 received the Bauman Award of Excellence given in recognition of his personal accomplishments and efforts to educate people about autism spectrum disorders.
