SALISBURY, NC – Marc Hoffman Trio returns to Salisbury this Friday, April 18th for Earth Night Out, part of Downtown Salisbury, Inc. Friday Night Out Series promoting nightlife and retail in Salisbury, NC.
A Salisbury native, Marc Hoffman will be joined by well known Charlotte area musicians, Brian Sullivan on drums and Dave Vergato on bass. The trio will perform standard jazz, pop and originals.
“We are delighted to be part of the Night Out Series this year and look forward to this performance, and another in August,” Hoffman says. “I am especially grateful to Mollie Ruf of Downtown Salisbury, Inc. for including us for Earth Night Out.”
An established composer, vocalist and pianist, Marc Hoffman is known throughout North Carolina and beyond for his performances as a soloist and with his trio at festivals, corporate and private events, and other venues. Last summer saw performances of two of Marc’s orchestra works, one but the Salisbury Symphony Orchestra and another by Lake Norman Orchestra.
Marc's original concert, sacred and jazz pieces have been performed across the US, and in the UK, France and The Netherlands. He recently composed the score for the comedy feature film, “40 Fears”. A piano instructional book, Essential Worship Keyboard was released by Emerald Books in 2008.

Composer/pianist/vocalist/author Marc Hoffman received a bachelor's degree in composition from the North Carolina School of the Arts and studied film composition at USC. He also attended The Dartington International Summer School of Music in Devon, England. His composition teachers have included John Corigliano, Leo Arnaud, Neil Hefti, and Sherwood Shaffer. A member of BMI and the American Composer's Forum, he is also founder and artistic director of the Salisbury School of Music. He lives in Salisbury with is wife, Anne, and their daughter August.
