Lynne Arriale: Master at Reinventing Songs

Years of inspiration have come together for jazz pianist and composer Lynne Arriale on her 10th anniversary album.

Come Together, on the Motema Music label, highlights the artist's improvisational talents on a nine-song collection of originals and deftly interpreted pop standards, among them the Lennon-McCartney title song and the New Orleans classic “Iko, Iko."

Classically trained, Arriale turned her attention to jazz in her 20s, creating a signature sound with her transcendent melodies and understated technique. She's a master at taking apart a melody and putting it back together with an entirely new sound that leaves audiences in awe.
