LR-60 & Mr. Moods' Coldest Memories CD explores Downtempo, Trip-Hop and Acid Jazz instrumentals with trumpet using a singular approach and sound

LR-60 & Mr. Moods' new CD “Coldest Memories" provides music lovers a unique opportunity to explore Downtempo, Trip-Hop and Acid Jazz instrumentals with trumpet using a singular approach and sound. College and independent radio stations have already given heavy airplay to “Coldest Memories" on the strength of such tunes as the seductive “Silently" and the funky hip-hop of “Groove Modulation" . Fans of Massive Attack, Miles Davis and Dr. Krush would find “Coldest Memories" especially to their liking. Radio programmers and listeners can go to www.lr-60.com for all LR-60 information. The CD is also available for purchase at cdbaby.com and soundclick.com.

LR-60 is Skip Warren from Dallas, Texas. Trumpet player for over 40 years playing most of his professional life in the Blues genre. Most notably for the late “Disco Lady" Johnnie Taylor for four years and also the late Z.Z. Hill (Down Home Blues) for one year. And finally with Blues legend Bobby “Blue" Bland for ten years. From this association with “Blue" came countless performances with B.B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Greg Alman, Albert King, Little Milton, Clarence Carter. Tyrone Davis, Bonnie Raitt, Willie Nelson, Wilson Pickett, Junior Walker & the Allstars, Buckwheat Zydeco & James Brown to name a few. Warren has recorded with gospel singer Kirk Franklin on his Nu Nation Project CD which featured noted gospel artist Fred Hammond. Warren has also wrote and recorded original compositions for CNN television and ASCAP.

Although currently a professional pilot, LR-60 has become enamored with the current downtempo, acid jazz and trip-hop sounds that offer so many artistic opportunities for an organic instrument in what is typically considered an electronic format. This, combined with tremendous advances in music production in the last ten years, has made many exciting projects possible for collaborations with several highly gifted electronic music producers from around the world. Most particularly at this time with the extremely talented and creative Christian Denis, a.k.a. “Mr. Moods" from Laval Quebec.
