In the Picture (released September 27, 2011) is the debut album of alto saxophonist Lars Haake. It features Haake plus the rhythm section of James Genus (acoustic bass), George Burton (piano/fender rhodes) and Wayne Smith Jr. (drums) as well as Oli Rockberger (backup vocals on track 3).

In the Picture includes nine tracks, the first six are originals.

The album starts out with a medium funk “Organism," dedicated to pianist/organist Sam Yahel followed by an intro and then a slower soul inspired tune called “Larsio Theme," on which Burton plays fender rhodes and Rockberger sings backup during the head out. Next is a fast swing titled “Cheating" with a free solo section. “Ballad" a traditional jazz ballad featuring Genus is followed by a medium straight piece “Bengupe" featuring Wayne Smith Jr. on the drums. The last three tunes are a heavy funk cover of Stevie Wonder's “Big Brother," a minor reharmonized version of “On Green Dolphin Street" and Coltrane's “Mr P.C.."

The album was recorded at Systems 2 recording studio in Brooklyn by Rene Antelmann. It is currently available on CD Baby.
