It never takes long for Kat Parsons to win over a crowd. From the first time she stepped foot in Eastons Chez Lafitte she started to win over fans who have since clamored to get her back.

Its easy to see why fans are drawn to Parsons, the daughter of two American musicians living in Austria. Her songs are winners mature takes on the complexities of relationships, akin to the great seventies AM radio hits of female songwriters like Carole King and Joni Mitchell. While Parsons songs are strong enough for the big stage, it is still good to get to see her play the small ones, as the end result is everything a performance at a small venue should beenchanting, amusing, bewitching; even poignant if you want it to be.

I have just returned from Japan after a great two months of performing there. The weather is beautiful and I am easing back into the US time zone as I am experimenting with some recording with Paul (Paul Maylone, producer of “No Will Power"). And when I say experimenting, I mean it. We just brought the trash can into the house for the kick drum, we are working with sheet metal....we are having fun and have no idea what will come out of it....
