Trombonist and composer Josh Roseman brings his “Joshua 3" group to Rockwood Music Hall for the first time on Saturday, September 25 at midnight. He will be joined by Peter Apfelbaum (sax, bass organ), Barney McAll (keys), Jonathan Goldberger (guitar), and Ted Poor (drums), in what promises to be a blistering set of Roseman's unique brand of future funk/electro-jazz.

Josh Roseman has played with a virtual who's who of the modern music scene, with artists as diverse as Dave Holland, Dave Douglas, The Roots, Charlie Hunter, Steve Coleman, John Zorn, John Ellis, Don Byron, Medeski Martin & Wood, and MeShell NdegeOcello employing his skills as a sideman.  Josh has released three widely heralded albums as a leader, the most recent of which, New Constellations, received four out of five stars in DownBeat Magazine. Josh has won numerous awards in prominent publications, including the 2009 DownBeat Award for “Talent Deserving Wider Recognition" and the 2008 DownBeat Award for “Top Rising Start Trombone," both in the International Critics' Poll.  Josh's work has been commissioned by SFJazz, the Downtown Geneva Orchestra, New York City's Jazz Gallery via the Jerome Foundation and more.
