Philadelphia Clef Club says it is approaching this season with new vigor to get back to the top as a leading jazz venue and treasured institution in the City of Philadelphia. PCC of Jazz is implemented in Mayor Nutter’s Five-Year Plan for Art and Culture in The City of Philadelphia. Additionally, in the next two years we are planning some of the most exciting events Philadelphia has experienced. In 2015, PCC of Jazz will celebrate 20 years on the Avenue of The Arts and in 2016 The Original Clef Club will celebrate 50 years as an organization. The Philadelphia Clef Club of Jazz & Performing Arts was founded in 1966 as an outgrowth of the Black Musicians Local 274 of the American Federation of Musicians. It is the city's oldest organization devoted entirely to Jazz and music education.
