The action takes place from 6th- 8th September in the fantastic, Irish weather-proof location of Meeting House Square - complete with retractable roof in the event of sunshine.
Friday’s program kicks off at 7.30pm and features the Chris Engel Quintet, the Nigel Mooney Band, Mike Nielsen Quartet’s Ripe for Rebels and Yurodny.
Saturday’s line-up includes the Cormac Kenevey Quartet, the Ed Deane Band, Butter, Dublin Guitar Night, The Mulitiverse and ZoiD with Horns.
Sunday’s program runs from 2pm until 8pm and features UCD Gamelan, No Crows, the Paul Dunlea Band, Khanda and Sun Ra-inspired big-band Outer Spaceways Inc in a vibrant and diverse program.
Classic bebop-inspired jazz, electric guitar-driven trios, electronic-jazz, soul-jazz, world music rhythms, blues, iconoclastic big-band jazz, funk and much more besides will shake Meeting House Square over what promises to be three unforgettable days of outstanding music. Following the success of Workin II: Irish Jazz Showcase in May it seems that Irish jazz has never been more vibrant. God-fearing and Devil-fearing folk beware!
