Dear Jazz Fans:
We have been at this for almost two years and we are having a great time but little knowledge of what you like or dislike. Since this may ultimately help us in generating a larger audience and therefore more advertiser support we have decided to request some feedback. It could come in the form of praise, encouragement, suggestions, commercial advertising support or ridicule. Our first questions is whether a blog would be of interest to you?
Our featured artists this week include Billy Hart, Rosemary Clooney, Stan Kenton, Keith Jarrett and Bobby “Blue" Bland. These are all encore presentations from past shows we did last year. We will be “live" in the studio this Saturday evening from 6 pm to 8 pm EST and our featured artist will be Lena Horne. We love singers and hope you do too! We will also include many of the new releases we have received in the past weeks and as always plenty of music from our library.
We will also interview drummer Jerry Jones a long standing player on the scene here in DC this Saturday. He has been a featured player with the beloved saxophonist Buck Hill and I'm sure he will bring some great stories with him. Do check him out this Saturday around 6:30 pm EST.
We had a great interview a few Saturday evenings ago with Denise Evans of the IBM Corporation (one of our sponsors) about the new SME Toolkit, a joint venture between IBM and the International Finance Corporation (part of the the World Bank).
