It’s time to party – Mardi Gras style! JazzMN Orchestra will take a trip down the mighty Mississippi to “The Big Easy,” bringing the distinctive sound of New Orleans jazz to Minnesota as they pay tribute to this unique American art form on Saturday, November 17.

Long recognized as the birthplace of jazz, New Orleans is home to a plethora of jazz styles. The JazzMN Orchestra will showcase everything from blues to traditional jazz, tracing the many classics and jazz styles that can only be found in New Orleans.

It’s been great fun to plan this program,” said JazzMN Artistic Director Doug Snapp. “There is so much to great New Orleans jazz to choose from, it’s been an exciting process to come up with a wide variety for this concert. I am delighted that guest vocalist Charmin Michelle is able to join us for the evening.”

Concert goers are invited to join the JazzMN musicians after the concert for a Mardi Gras reception. Mix, mingle and enjoy the best of New Orleans without leaving Minnesota!

Advanced ticket prices are: $27 balcony, $29 main floor, $17 students. Tickets at the door prices are $29 balcony, $33 main floor and $10 student rush.
