Through engaging lectures, listening, demonstration, and discussion, participants will learn from jazz experts and gain a basic understanding of jazz. The courses are $125 (includes all 6 lectures) and enrollment can be made online by visiting jazz.fm.

Jazz 101: The Beginners Guide to Jazz – Lecture objectives include: the basic structure and properties of jazz, instruments and styles; understanding the details about the history and development of jazz; an understanding of how musicians improvise and swing; and how to build a library of classic recordings, including the five most important Canadian recordings of all time.
