Film stars Cary Grant and Marilyn Monroe have it. So do luminaries like Clark Gable and Lana Turner. What they share is the power of magnetic attraction, pulling screen fans to them like a magnet.

A fan of classic films, jazz vocalist and composer Kathy Sanborn says her latest release, Magnetized, describes the power of attraction exhibited by film stars whose screen presence can virtually electrify an audience. Sanborn explains, “Magnetized is about being pulled by an inexplicable magnetic force towards someone—and that usually happens on a movie screen!"

Sanborn has dedicated the new song to renowned film historian and Turner Classic Movies host Robert Osborne. Recently Mr. Osborne took a three-month leave from his TCM hosting duties in order to undergo what the network says is “minor surgery."

Along with millions of other Bob Osborne fans, Sanborn wishes the film icon a speedy and successful recovery. “He'll be greatly missed during those three months," Sanborn says, “and I want him to know there are so many people rooting for him to come back soon!"

Sanborn hopes her new song, Magnetized, will cheer up Osborne as he recovers from surgery. Says Sanborn, “Robert Osborne is a national treasure, and loved more than he knows. If Robert gets a bit of pleasure from listening to my new song about movie stars, then I will feel greatly rewarded."

Magnetized released July 5, 2011 as an MP3 single. Available through MP3 outlets such as Amazon.com and iTunes, Magnetized is the follow-up release to Sanborn's critically acclaimed album, Blues for Breakfast. Released in March 2011, Blues for Breakfast recently reached #4 on Amazon's MP3 Vocal Jazz charts.
