FREE. In lieu of a cover charge, guests may give a $5 donation that benefits the Jazz Standard Discovery Program. Jazz Standard donates $1 from each kid's menu sold to Spoons Across America, a non-profit dedicated to educating children, teachers, and families about healthy eating habits.

About JAZZ FOR KIDS
For the past 10 years, Jazz Standard, the nation’s premier jazz club, has been hosting live audiences of all ages as part of its weekly Sunday JAZZ FOR KIDS brunch series. Sunday brunch time in New York City has never been the same! The Jazz Standard Youth Orchestra (JSYO), a breeding ground for appx. 35 talented musicians between the ages of 11 and 18, burns through jazz classics such as “Cherokee,” “How Insensitive,” and “Billie’s Bounce” every Sunday afternoon from 2:00pm-3:00pm. Jazz for Kids offers NYC’s student musicians the opportunity to play exciting new arrangements of big band classics, and families the opportunity to connect with the music in a lively environment. Blue Smoke’s lunch menu and full bar are available, as well as kids menu. Doors open at 1:00pm when kids and adults alike enjoy Blue Smoke’s NYC’s Best Barbecue (Time Out New York).
JAZZ FOR KIDS is for kids by kids. The Jazz Standard Youth Orchestra provides NYC children an opportunity to hone their skills outside of the classroom. It provides professional leadership and guidance as well as an opportunity to lead, host and perform each and every week on one of the nation’s top jazz stages!! Over the past 10 years, this program has worked with over 300+ kids many who have gone on to college, professional careers as musicians, etc. including Danny Rivera - baritone sax/arranger and award winning composer (ASCAP awards) and Davis Whitfield - recipient of Presidential Scholarship.
Ages: For kids of all ages! From 1 – 100!
