Jazz Saxophonist Tim Warfield, Returns to Washington D.C. This Holiday Weekend

Critically acclaimed saxophonist Tim Warfield will be appearing with his quartet, at Twins Jazz, this coming Friday and Saturday, November 28 and 29. The group will feature pianist Andrew Adair, bassist Eric Wheeler, and drummer Chris Beck. Warfield, known for his demonstrative swagger and soulful improvisations, has worked with a wide range of artists such as Christian McBride, Nicholas Payton, Bill Cosby, the late Dizzy Gillespie and Isaac Hayes. His latest Criss Cross release, “One for Shirley," an homage to his friend and mentor, the late Philadelphia legend, organist Shirley Scott, is receiving widespread acclaim both nationally and internationally. Twins is located at 1344 U. St. NW, Washington, DC, 20009. Sets are at 9 and 11 p.m.
