Steinway Artist Joe Augustine Solo Piano Concert Webcast
WGMC, a non-commercial jazz radio station in ROchester New York, has teamed up with Realnetradio.com to present three concert webcasts. The first webcast features a solo performance by Steinway artist Joe Augustine. The concert, recorded in December of 2000, is a 90 minute presentation and features a breif interview with the pianist during intermission.
“The service that Realnetradio.com donates to WGMC has been invaluable," says station manager Eric Gruner, “we wouldn't be broadcasting on the internet if it were not for them" Netsville, an ISP in Rochester New York, also donates services to the radio staion. “The response we get to our Jazz programming from listeners worldwide is amazing." says Gruner, “Jazz music has fans in every corner of the world!"
To watch the concert webcast viewrs must have Windows Media Player, several download speeds are available from the Realnetradio.com website ranging from dial up modem speeds 28.8 and 56k to ISDN and Cable speeds 100 and 256k.
A second concert recording featuring The Steve Koven trio from Toronto Canada is planned for webcast in February, 2001.
